Principal Susan Bohill began recruiting in corporate and search firm settings in Pittsburgh in 1985. Initially she worked with engineers, faculty, professional and executive staff. She later moved to Boston and consulted to companies to develop staffing and hiring protocols, and lead staffing initiatives to recruit top talent. Susan’s expertise now covers technical and management-level professionals for financial services, and technology.
Principal John Bohill began recruiting in Boston in 1988. He places professionals within a broad range of clientele from entrepreneurial start-ups to established brand-name corporations focused in the fields of financial services, management and technology.
Black Bear Search Group opened its Naples, Maine office in 2004. John and Susan ensure their group engages strong process, extensive research and selection dedicated to matching candidates with clients, resulting in outstanding quality to both parties.
Their success develops first from gaining an in-depth understanding of a client’s culture and needs. After evaluating the client’s purpose, employees, product and service, short and long term goals, management philosophy, and competition, Black Bear Search Group is then discerning in locating and presenting the ideal candidate.
Black Bear Search Group works closely with selected candidates coordinating the interview logistics, feedback, evaluation and offer negotiation. John and Susan strive to deliver first-class service to their clients and candidates.
Susan earned her higher education in Pittsburgh, PA, receiving a B.A. from Chatham College and a Master’s from Carnegie Mellon, both in Business Administration.
John was educated in Ireland.
